Emergency Services Testimonial

"Thank you for helping out. I sincerely appreciate your efforts and concern.  I truly am thankful that organizations like yours exist in this community. We all have to remember that no matter what your circumstance, we all come across bumps in the road but we are all here to help each other out through those times." ~Anynoymous

The La Plata Family Centers Coalition provides direct support to families: a single mother who has a sick child and needs health insurance, parents who have lost their jobs and need help with utility bills, groceries, or housing payment.

These are our neighbors and our friends and you can help. In addition to helping families in need, we provide education and a one-stop referral source to programs within the Coalition and connections to other programs and agencies in our community.

The Family Center seeks to build community, reduce family isolation and strengthen families by linking families together to lend each other the nurturing support once found in extended family networks and small communities.

Your tax-deductible gift will go directly to helping families and our efforts to help make La Plata County a community where families help each other.

Every child is unique and we believe that success and growth come from encouragement and praise. Our teachers focus on building every child’s self esteem and confidence through positive feedback and rewards. We nurture their natural strengths. A child sees the world around them with wonder and awe, we believe in encouraging their natural curiosity.
