Harvest Potluck Help!
VOLUNTEER!!
The La Plata Family Centers Coalition is gearing up for our annual Harvest Potluck and Thanksgiving Meal Program. Every year, we celebrate the holiday with families that participate in Family Center programs by hosting a free meal and activities for children. We also pull together donations for food and pack 30 Thanksgiving meal bags to give to families in need.
This is a great volunteer opportunity, and we hope that you will consider offering community service hours to your students for helping us with the following activities on Thursday, November 17th:
- Pack Thanksgiving meal bags
- Give out meal bags
- Plan crafts and activities
- Help with crafts, story reading, and activities
- Help with cooking of Harvest Meal
- Help with serving of Harvest Meal
- Help with cleanup
DONATE!!
Please help us provide Thanksgiving by donating $25. This will support us to buy a family of 4 all necessary items to have a wonderful Thanksgiving meal !! Donations made payable to the Family Center of Durango.
