Volunteers for for Healthy Eating Courses ~
In partnership with the Family Center of Durango, Cooking Matters is excited to offer more classes than ever in 2011!  Our  hands-on cooking and nutrition courses are available to families in need throughout La Plata, Montezuma and Archuleta Counties.  We are now expanding our volunteer program to meet the increasing demand for these fun and educational opportunities.   Volunteers, skilled and unskilled, are at the heart of this unique program so please contact me, Erin Jolley, to learn how to get involved.  Email or call the office at 385-4747.

Volunteers for upcoming FCD events ~
Volunteers needed for various tasks at upcoming Family Center events such as the Reunion, Back to School Fair and Fundraiser.  If you would be interested in volunteering your time or talents, please contact Heidi at the Family Center.

Volunteers for Bright Beginnings ~
Visit families with new babies or children under three to introduce and review the Bright Beginnings materials. Three hours of training offered before first visit.

Volunteers for Safe Exchange ~
Volunteers needed to facilitate exchange of children between parents. Occasional hours available.

Childcare Providers ~
Occasional childcare needed for FCD programs such as Foster Parent Night Out, Bright Beginnings trainings, Love and Logic classes, board meetings.

Visit Supervisors ~
People needed to supervise visits between children and non-residential parents. Training offered. Part time hours available.
